Visit places you can’t buy a ticket to: Follows itinerary for ‘CELEBRITY ISLES’ with extension to unspoiled Kastos & Kalamos. Accessible only by private boat (no ferries), these sparsely populated isles are still yachties best kept secret. Visit sleepy villages, kayak around windmill ruins at Porto Leone, discover ultramarine bays, spectacular sea caves and quiet beaches ideal for camping. At Kalamo’s small port, we paddle right up to our taverna table, order Greek coffee & fuel up on fresh Greek food.

ITINERARY
DAY 1 ARRIVE VASILIKI TOWN, LEFKADA ISLAND
Arrive at Vasiliki hotel before 4pm to meet guide. Check our kayaking equipment, run through basic kayak instruction and pack your gear for the trip. Excess luggage is safely stored at our base. Full briefing over dinner at local taverna.
DAY 2 MIKROS GIALOS VIA SIVOTA, LEFKADA
Pack kayaks, and begin paddling after breakfast. Visit Sivota- a traditional fishing port with yachties marooned at waterfront restaurants where we stop for lunch. See the old olive mill - an original stone press restored in the converted café. Set up campsite at secluded beach inside Rouda Bay. Relax & swim in crystal clear waters. Camp dinner prepared by guide. 18km ( 4 hrs) (B, D)
DAY 3 PORTO LEONE, KALAMOS
Cross channel to Megainisi Island and follow breathtaking Meganisi western coastline. Highlights: coastal cliffs, sea caves-huge Papanikolaos Cave, deep turquoise lagoons, snorkelling, cliff jumping. Cross channel to Kalamos. Break at Porto Leone- a disused old port scattered with ancient windmills. Picnic lunch under shade of Orthodox Church. Continue to Kalamos harbour- set up camp at nearby quiet Myrties beach. Walk to port for taverna dinner. Camping overnight (B, L) 35km ( 6 hrs)
DAY 4 KALAMOS & KASTOS
Free day on sparkling Myrties beach, walk up the hill above Kalamos port to explore beautiful village with traditional stone houses and narrow lanes. Optional paddle (20km return) to Kastos island -seasonal population 150 . Visit beautifuly restored Kastos windmill, and stop in at café bar with sweeping Ionian views. Picnic lunch on beach. Dinner at Kalamos seaside taverna. 2nd night Myrties camping. 20km- optional. (B, L)
DAY 5 MEGANISI, SPARTOHORI
Paddle Kalamos coastline via skylight cave, & derelict orthodox church, cross channel to Meganisi east coast. Kayak to Porto Spilia and leave kayaks for short trek to our guesthouse at charming Spartohori - a hilltop village with limewashed houses and winding cobbled lanes. The terrace has sweeping views of the Ionian sea to Lefkada. Free afternoon. Dinner at local taverna. Overnight in Saprtohori guesthouse. 30km (total 6 hrs) (B, L)
DAY 6 ONASIS SCORPIOS ISLE
Celebrity island hopping day. Paddle to Scorpios Isle - owned by the late Aristotle Onasis- notorious Greek shipping tycoon. Kayak by wife Jackie O’s chic beach hut- right by the water. Swim and picnic at the only public beach. Visit nearby Madouri islet once home to famous Greek poet - Valaoritis. Local averna dinner and 2nd night in Spartohori guesthouse. 15km (total 3 hrs) (B, L)
DAY 7 AFTELI BAY
Paddle back to Lefkada, follow coastline via sea caves with phosphorous blue water and coloured reef, Continue to Afteli Bay, stop at beachside taverna for lunch. Paddle to secluded beach and set up camp. Free afternoon on our beach. Camp dinner prepared by guide. approx 18km (total 3-4 hrs) (B, D)
DAY 8 VASILIKI
Kayak to dramatic Aphales beach - a dazzling blue bay surrounded by tall white cliffs. Picnic lunch and swim. Continue to Vasiliki arrive early afternoon. Farewell group dinner in local taverna. Overnight Vasiliki guesthouse. approx 15km (total 3 hrs) (B, L)
